Albert the Alien Chapter 1 Page 23

It’s Friday — I’m at a convention — and we’re on the second to last page of this chapter of Albert the Alien.

After having saved the school, the kids are kind of excited that they now have a pool on the roof! Since it’s filled with robot parts and school supplies, Albert reveals that there’s a self-cleaning feature so the kids can use the pool!

Growing up, my school didn’t have a pool. There was a local rec center about a mile away which was used for the swim team and kids who wanted to go swimming. I was on the swim team for a while in elementary school, but eventually quit and joined the track team in middle school instead. Swimming was always a fun time, though – especially in the summer.

How awesome would it have been to have a pool in the school, though? Maybe not so awesome on the roof, however, since it would be pretty cold in the winter.

We are nearing the end of our first Albert the Alien chapter. On Friday will be our final page of the first chapter, and then next week we’ll launch right into chapter 2! See you then!

July 26-28 I’ll be a guest of honor at Anime Iowa! It’s my first time attending this show, but it sounds like a lot of fun and I’m really looking forward to it.
