Albert the Alien Chapter 5 Page 24
And here it is – the final page of Chapter 5! Looks like the Alien School Supplies aren’t out of the picture yet!
So Gabe and I are taking a brief (4-5 week) “summer break” so we can focus on the Albert the Alien graphic novel (remember we successfully funded it on Kickstarter?), and a few other really cool things. But fear not! We will continue to update the website on Wednesdays and Fridays with guest strips, fan art from our industry friends, and behind-the-scenes blog posts on what we’re doing – and how the book is coming together.
Then as soon as we come back, we’ll jump right into Chapter 6 – continuing the saga of The Substitute Teacher from Planet X! It’s going to be AWESOME!
My next appearance will be Anime Midwest (NEXT WEEKEND!) where I will be a returning guest of honor. The show is in Rosemont, Il over Fourth of July weekend. Last year was a lot of fun (and it was also over the holiday), with an incredible attendance and an amazing guest list. I’ll be hanging out with my fellow comic creators Russell Lissau (Batman Strikes, Straeberry Shortcake), Steve Horton (Amala’s Blade), Sean and Sara Lindsay (Spinnerette), and Steve Wallace (Reading with Pictures).
I’ll have a number of panels throughout the weekend:
FRIDAY
– Panel Room 2 – Making Webcomics
7:30pm – 8:30pm
— Trevor Mueller will be talking about everything you need to know to start your very own webcomic! There may even be special guest appearances in the panel! Swing by to ask this webcomic veteran questions!
SATURDAY
– Panel Room 2 – Writing Comics
6:30pm – 7:30pm
— Join comic creators Trevor Mueller and Russell Lissau to find out how they broke into the business, how to work with artists (or writers, like themselves), and how to talk to editors and get your work published!
– Main Events – An Evening with Trevor Mueller
9:00pm – 10:00pm
— This panel is not to be missed! Join Trevor Mueller for an evening filled with hilarious (and often embarrassing) stories about his convention adventures, celebrities he’s met (or wishes he haded met), what it’s like to work with Doug Walker, and so much more!
Additionally, they’ll have some Channel Awesome cast and crew there including Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic), his brother Rob, and many more! And we’ll probably be getting into all kinds of trouble throughout the weekend.
Additionally, they’re going to have Johnny Young Bosch (Power Rangers, Trigun, Bleach) and his band, Eyeshine, there all weekend! Johnny and I became friends several years ago, so it’ll be awesome to see him and the whole band again! Get tickets and come visit us!
