Fighting against two different people with a helmet that limits your vision – you’re bound to lose a few times. Especially in instances like this, where you’re battling one guy – and the other guy comes in an takes advantage.

Man, sounds like dating in high school.

So, Dave’s dirty fighting comes back into play yet again. This time bribing one of the combatants with – yup, you guessed it – mead.

Booze can be a powerful motivator. Especially when you’ve fully engrossed yourself in an era where, let’s be honest – that’s all there really was to drink. It was probably more sanitary than the water – and certainly didn’t taste any worse.

Of course, there were women back then, too. But we didn’t get any of them into the ring to pose with us for the comic. So mead was the fallback.

Friday we find out who the winner of the battle is, and the story arc starts to wind down.
